Ratings with dates, no invented reviews
What guests and award panels say
We do not publish guest reviews of our own and we never invent them. This page summarises public ratings we saw, with the date, and the industry awards the hotel lists.
Online reviews are a moving target and a hotel’s average changes week by week. So we stick to two kinds of evidence: what a public rating showed on a date we can name, and awards from panels with a stated year and category.
Public ratings we saw
Google Maps. When the map card for Eos by SkyCity was captured for our map registry on 29 October 2026, it showed an average of 4.5 stars and described the property as a five-star hotel. On 1 November 2026 the embedded Google map of the hotel showed the same 4.5 average from 662 reviews. Averages and counts move every week, so treat these as a snapshot with a date.
Tripadvisor. The hotel lists a Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award for 2023, placing it in the top 10% of hotels worldwide. We have not read the Tripadvisor page itself for this guide, so we report the award as the hotel states it.

Themes that recur
Read the award list as a whole and three themes stand out: service (room service, concierge and staff awards appear year after year), design (the interior architecture and new-build awards), and the pool. That matches what the hotel itself puts first on its pages — personalised service, art and design, and the Leisure Deck. It also matches our own reading of the published material in our verdict.
What we cannot tell you
We cannot tell you how individual stays went, and we will not pretend to. If you want guest voices, read the review platforms directly and look at the most recent months, filtered by the type of trip you are planning. If you see a pattern that worries you — noise on a particular side, a slow check-in during events — tell our desk in the request form and we will ask the hotel about it.
Sustainability, briefly
Besides the Spice award, the hotel says Business Events Australia recognised it as one of Australia’s top seven sustainable city stays. Its practices include digital check-in and keyless entry through the SkyCity app, bamboo key cards for guests who want a physical card, in-room tablets in place of paper compendiums and built-in recycling drawers in every room. The precinct reports almost 100% diversion of waste from landfill.
