Plainly, how we are paid
How this site earns its keep
Riverbank Adelaide is paid in one way: a commission from the hotel or the booking partner when a room request sent through our form turns into a confirmed stay. You pay nothing extra to us.
We think a guide that asks for your dates should be able to say in one paragraph how it makes money. Here it is.
The one source of income
When you send a request with the form on any page, our booking desk checks availability and the current rate with the hotel or with a booking partner that sells rooms at Eos. If you accept the offer and the stay is confirmed, the hotel or that partner pays us a commission on the booking. If you do not go ahead, nobody pays anything. We never charge readers a fee, and we never take card details.
What we do not do
No advertising
There are no ad networks on this site and no ad slots. We have not connected any.
No affiliate tags
Links to the hotel’s website, to the organisers and to transport operators are plain links, with no tracking codes or partner IDs.
No paid opinions
Nobody pays for a mention, a ranking or a softer verdict. We do not accept free stays in exchange for coverage.
No cookies
We set no cookies and run no analytics. Maps load from Google only where you choose to show them or on the arrival page.
No card details
The form asks for your name, email, optional phone and dates. That is all we need to check availability.
No pretending
We are not the hotel. Every page says so in the footer, with a link to the official site.
Why we tell you this
Because it changes how you should read us. A commission model means we have a reason to want you to book — and a reason to make sure the booking is a good one, because a bad stay ends the relationship. It also means we are comfortable telling you when booking directly with the hotel is better: SkyCity’s free Unlocked programme advertises up to 15% off undiscounted rates, and if that beats what we can find, we will say so in our reply.
Who we are, in short
Riverbank Adelaide is a small independent editorial site that began in 2026 and covers one hotel. The domain was registered through Namecheap, Inc. on 1 November 2026, and the site is hosted on a DigitalOcean server in Sydney and served through Cloudflare. You can write to us at hello@riverbankadelaide.com. More on who we are.
If anything changes
If we ever add another source of income — an advertising slot, a partner link — we will mark it where it appears and update this page first. As of 1 November 2026, the booking commission described above is the only one.
