Level 2 events floor
Weddings, meetings and group stays
SkyCity’s events floor sits on Level 2, a lift ride from the Eos concourse. The Ballroom seats up to 450, weddings take up to 370 seated guests, and group room bookings start at five rooms.
Adelaide’s Riverbank is a convention district as well as a festival one, and SkyCity runs its own events floor alongside the hotel. Everything below comes from SkyCity’s events, weddings and corporate group pages.
The spaces
SkyCity Ballroom
Six-metre floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the River Torrens, the parklands and Adelaide Oval. Up to 450 seated or 600 standing, divisible into two rooms, with a balcony over the Riverbank.
SouthWest Suite
A smaller room wrapped in 180-degree windows, with Riverbank views east and the heritage casino building behind. Dinners for up to 60.
Boardrooms
Three furnished boardrooms with 5.4-metre tables and built-in audio-visual technology. Views of the Riverbank or Festival Plaza and the hills; two have private balconies.
Suite 88
Described by SkyCity as an oasis of elegance for smaller events. Capacity is shown on the venue’s seating chart rather than in the text.
Suite 80
A room with partial river views for more intimate occasions.
Restaurants and bars
SkyCity also offers its restaurants and bars for private events, and Huami has a private dining room for up to 24.
Weddings
For weddings, SkyCity sets the Ballroom for up to 370 seated guests, with a large dance floor and the bridal table on stage. The page promises a dedicated event specialist from booking to the day, catering prepared in house from South Australian produce, and the ability to build menus around particular cultural cuisines. Guests can stay at Eos and carry the celebration on in the bars and restaurants of the precinct. The hotel’s accolades include a highly commended in the Brides Choice Awards 2021 for Best Adelaide Accommodation.
Wedding photography at the hotel needs care: Eos does not allow professional camera equipment in its public spaces without prior written approval from hotel management, and asks for commercial, promotional and wedding photography enquiries to go to its team first.
Conferences and meetings
SkyCity’s events pages mention in-house audio-visual services and catering by specialty chefs using local produce. Eos was named Best Business Event Venue at the South Australian Tourism Awards 2022. The hotel itself has no business centre, but it offers free Wi-Fi throughout and its team can arrange printing and copying. The gym on Level 1 opens 24 hours, which matters on a three-day conference.
Getting there: the Level 2 events floor is reached by lift from the Station Lane entry. Walking from North Terrace, go down Station Road to the SkyCity main entrance, through the revolving door and into the lift opposite. Drivers can park on levels B3 to B5 of the Festival Carpark, ride to Level C, cross the foyer and take the adjacent lifts to Level 2.
Group stays
Five rooms or more
Eos handles reservations of five or more rooms through a dedicated groups team by email.
Corporate rates
A named corporate contact handles business travel rates and rewards, according to the guest information page.
The Business Class Package
Up to 30% off the best available rate for corporate groups, with 50% off boardroom hire. Details on our packages page.
The hotel’s booking terms include a strict noise and no-party policy and allow the hotel to limit the number of people in any one room. Keep that in mind when planning a celebration in a suite: the Ballroom or a private dining room is the place for the party.
Event bookings are made with SkyCity’s own team through its proposal request form. Our desk handles room requests only: if you are organising guests’ rooms around an event, send us the dates and numbers through the form below.
