Two days on the Riverbank
Our plan for a weekend at Eos that never needs a car: a pool, a gallery, a market, a river path, a rooftop and three dinners, with opening hours checked against each venue.

This is the weekend we would give a friend who has never been to Adelaide. It assumes a Friday afternoon arrival and a Sunday departure and uses only places with published hours. Swap the days around to fit a show or a game, and treat the times as a rhythm rather than a timetable.
Friday: arrive and slow down
| 3pm | Check in at Eos (from 3pm). If the room is not ready, leave bags with the concierge and head to Level 1. |
|---|---|
| 3.30pm | The Leisure Deck: heated outdoor pool, warm spa pool, river views, poolside menu. Open until 10pm. |
| 5.30pm | Up to SOL Rooftop on Level 9, open from 2pm until 1am on Fridays. Small plates and a glass from the three-glass wine list. |
| 7.30pm | Dinner at The Kitchen (Friday 5pm–9.30pm) or Madame Hanoi (Friday 5pm–9.30pm). Book ahead. |
| 9.30pm | Live music at Westward by the river on Friday nights, or an early night with the window open to the Torrens. |
Saturday: market, gallery, river
| 7am | A swim on the Leisure Deck, open from 5am, or a run along the river path. |
|---|---|
| 8am | Breakfast at iTL on Festival Plaza (hotel breakfast 7am–10.30am). |
| 9.30am | Adelaide Central Market on Gouger Street, open 7am–3pm on Saturdays. Walk south through the city or take the free city tram part of the way. |
| 12pm | Yum cha at Huami, served at weekends from 12pm to 3pm. |
| 2pm | The Art Gallery of South Australia on North Terrace, open 10am–5pm. |
| 4pm | The Botanic Garden at the end of North Terrace, open until 6.30pm at weekends from October to March, with free entry. |
| 7pm | A show at the Festival Centre or a Fringe venue if the season is on; otherwise pizza at iTL (Saturday dinner until 10pm). |
| 10pm | A nightcap at Chandelier Bar under the hand-blown chandelier in the Marble Hall (18+ casino building rules apply). |
Sunday: the slow finish
| 8am | Breakfast in the room, ordered from the in-room tablet, or back at iTL. |
|---|---|
| 9.30am | Walk the Riverbank to the footbridge and across to Adelaide Oval. On a non-event day, look at the Bradman Collection (Monday to Saturday, so save it for a Saturday if you want it). |
| 10.45am | Back to pack. Check-out is before 11am; the concierge will hold your bags for free. |
| 12pm | Sunday lunch at SOL Rooftop (Sunday 12pm–10pm) before the airport. |
| Afternoon | J1 or J2 bus or a taxi to the airport. Allow for the $4.50 airport fee on taxi and rideshare fares. |
If you only have 24 hours
Keep
The Leisure Deck, SOL at sunset and one serious dinner in the precinct. They are all under one roof.
Add if it is Saturday
Yum cha at Huami and an hour in the Art Gallery of South Australia.
Skip
Anything that needs a car. The point of staying here is that nothing important does.
Adjusting for festival weeks
From 19 February to 21 March 2027, when the Fringe runs and the Adelaide Festival joins from 26 February, swap Saturday afternoon for a matinee and push dinner after the evening show — the bars upstairs and downstairs keep late hours on Fridays and Saturdays. During WOMADelaide (5–8 March 2027), spend a day in Botanic Park and keep the evening light. The festival calendar has every date we confirmed.
Want the room sorted for this plan? Use the form below and mention the weekend; if you want a late check-out on the Sunday, say so and we will ask.
